Hey Couchsurfing Community!

I am a 35 year old guy with 1 cute, pretty hilarious dog named Earheart (poopoo) a beautiful, very hilarious girlfriend in Springfield, Oregon. I spend my working hours at University of Oregon as an academic and career advisor with TRIO, a program to help first gen, low income and studetns with disabilities feel supported through their undergrad. I also just started my Master's in Counseling degree, hoping to become a therapist, lol.

I am an ENFP but right on the cusp of an INFP if that does anything for ya. I buy it but also not so much. Its a great tool for self-reflection.

I just started a little podcast. Nothing much to say here. 3 white guys trying to chat about things and become better humans.

I also just started hosting a thing I call "Flight of Fancy Future Trivia", which is imagination based trivia hosted by yours truly. I am really excited about this. Used to do some stand up and this is going to be a great outlet for me.

I work on most things, but especially cars, and bikes. I used to race bakes, and now I just try to enjoy them. I usually have a couple car projects going at anytime, currently a 1954 chevy truck and a 1988 benz. Its a for funsy thing for me, and it is just satisfying to get things running again. If you need help with car stuff I love to help!

Also dabbling at writing a book right now on our addiction to "being right".

I used to work in design on my lamp and custom furniture company called A-Lamp Design (can be seen on instagram @alampdesign) most of the time, but also manage to ride some bikes, hang out and go on some dates in my spare time.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I was on Couchsurfing when I was a younger wanderer, using it in Thailand and throughout a fair amount of the the US....especially Hawaii (that was awesome). When I was going to school I lost touch with the community, but now I am hoping to meet some great people again. I have a clearer idea of how I want to build community now. I want to engage a little more in making this happen and couchsurfing seems to fit really well within that mindset.

Life of Pi, Siddartha were the ones that changed me the most.

Micheal Pollen, Steinbeck, and a Kingsolver, not an amazing reader, but I do my best.

I don't read many books anymore, but do work on my National Geo's and my Scientific American on the regular.

Favorite movies, are Pixar. They are just the most enjoyable. Inside Out was stupid good. I loved Broad City, and True Detective recently. Bob's Burgers.
