About Me

CURRENT MISSION

maintaining vigil against the homogenation of humanity, iconoclasm in the face of dogma, and the exploration of individuals

ABOUT ME

a work in progress looking for signs and connections in order to complete the great 'obra'.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't believe in Eugenics, chest-thumping patriotism, Aryan race, pigment-oriented hierarchy, chosen people, imaginary borders or anything else that serves to divide.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

as with everything else, with a good deal of relish.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Thus far has been amazing. It seems that there may yet be scope to achieve the collective vision. Keep up the good work.

Interests

Pretty much interested in everything. I can listen to somebody speak about the life cycles of earthworms for hours, as long as they do it with passion.
If I had to list them, the would be music, painting, writing, literature, films, exploring portals to altered states, linking reference points on the web of knowledge, scouring the cosmos for signs, trying to complete this work of art that we call self, unearthing the beauty in others, etc

Music, Movies, and Books

What can I say about music? I love it all. But mostly I enjoy the work of singer/songwriters of dubious voice.

I love horror films, even the crappy ones. I cannot really say why but I do. Best horror film ever... The Thing, Event Horizon, and the Manitou.

I think that Kafka and Chekhov are a hoot. Hemingway is spartan swaggering prose and Fitzgerald is quite dainty in a manly-kind of way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to the mountain and communed in a vast silence. I have sounded the depths of the great oceans and been humbled in the stillness. I have crossed the desert and spent time with the great stones on their tireless vigil. I have received some wonderful songs when the universe suggested I compose.

Teach, Learn, Share

Bagger Vance once said that we are merely vessels for golf swings that simply ride the wind like kites without leads. So too it is with lessons, unless we are ready to receive them, they shall never cross the threshold of our consciousness. It makes the concept of learner and teacher a problematic one. At best I hope to facilitate the transfer of knowledge by being with the right person at the right time while having them at my side when the lesson calls.
