About Me

CURRENT MISSION

We don't meet people by accident. They are meant to cross our path for a reason.

ABOUT ME

Hey! So I'm Erynne and I'm a spunky sorta type. My best friend has described me as "spontaneous, always down for adventures and shinanigans, random handstands whenever possible, and definitely not into drama... blah!... super chill, so definitely not into girly girls, and playing in the mud is fun!" I'm quite a fair person. I'm pretty much a fun person to be around, I just have to make sure I get my daily workouts!

PHILOSOPHY

Make everyday count, love the people around you, cherish important moments, and learn from your experiences. You have experiences for a reason, they're never regrets. Make things happen and don't worry about things because in the end everything is going to be amazing any way.

Throughout my travels, my friends and I have learned I'm just a happier person when I workout.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing, traveling, meeting new people... need I say more.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only heard good stories from friends that have experienced couch surfing and met cool people.

Interests

I enjoy happy and inspiring things! This includes anything outdoors, handstands, gymnastics, surfing, snowboarding... sports, playing, exploring new places, traveling, music, experiencing new things, and special people. When I slow down, I enjoy getting lost in a good book. If someone forces me, I do enjoy watching movies and television shows like Dexter, Bones, Dollhouse, The IT crowd, Alias, 24 and cool ass shows like that.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are endless amounts of movies that I enjoy watching. I am usually drawn to action, comedy, romantic, historical (fiction and non-fiction), and documentaries. A few to list: Avengers, Batman, Spiderman, The Expendables, PS I Love You, Smart People, Juno, Food Inc, Avatar, 21 Jump Street, ...

Music: you can find all kinds of music on my iPod and I like listening to it all. I tend to drift to rock and I have more recently opened my mind up to country. Favorite groups: Shinedown, Aerosmith, Avenged Sevenfold, Breaking Benjamin, Cake, Escala, E.S. Posthumus, Ellie Goulding, Gwen Stefani, Foo Fighters, Foster the People, Fun., Guns N Roses, Iron & Wine, John Mayer, Metallica, Muse, Sublime, Velvet Revolver, just to name a few.

Books: The Last Lecture (still reading), author Mitch Albom, and in the past years, I've been exposed to countless children's books (since obtaining my elementary teaching credential) so I have a few favorites in that area too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving! The moment when that airplane door opens 13,000 feet above ground... it's absolutely mind-boggling. Am I really going to jump out of this perfectly good airplane... HELL YES, LET'S DO THIS. Well it wasn't like that for my first time when I went for my 20th birthday. The jump master had to push me towards the door and make me jump. I felt like I was a puppet on strings but all was good when I was experiencing that minute of freefall and then the 7-minute chill ride parachuting. I went two more times after that and even considered getting certified... but that requires a whole lotta money.

The first time I walked out of Bikram Yoga class... Some people walk out and they'll never do it again. BUT when I walk out of that sweaty room, I feel like there's nothing in this world that can stop me and I conquer anything. It's an unexplainable awe really.

"Unstoppable"... just listen to it. Feel the music and let your mind create a story.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a gymnastics guru! I cannot teach you how to back flip... that's years of training but I can teach anyone to do a handstand! I can also make the most bomb sandwich ever. It's like dessert.
