About Me
**This year, we will mostly be accepting guests with campervans & tents, because the house is undergoing certain renovations. Please contact us so we can discuss what you need and what we can provide!**
We are a small, old family farm in the countryside of North-Western Slovenia, currently run by Ingrid and Robert, with the help of our eldest, Alex. The rest of the children have mostly moved away, but Robert's parents are still living on the farm as well. Alongside our off-farm jobs, we also grow most of our food and take care of 5 goats, 2 sheep, a dog, and a few cats and chickens :)
You can also check our website www.podbukovc.si to see where you would stay with us.
Every year, since the kids were little, we like to take a week or two of holidays to see a little bit of the world we live in. We've discovered hidden gardens in Verona, strolled around Venice and Padua, and enjoyed the rides of Gardaland. We liked Paris very much and Vienna as well. We like to visit the castles of Bavaria and the beaches of Dalmatia.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The visit to foreign countries and cultures is never complete if you stay in hotels. If you don't meet the people, you didn't really meet the country. This is our first and main reason for Couchsurfing. It's also a way for us to meet travelers and interesting people even when we aren't traveling!
Interests
We love being outside, in nature - visiting parks, gardens, mountains and valleys. We are also interested in history and cultural heritage, as this is something we are trying to preserve in our ancestral home as well. We love meeting people from all over the world, with their own unique cultural backgrounds - we value diversity!

Teach, Learn, Share
Each of us has many unique skills and experiences - let's share them! We know a little something about farming, growing food and raising animals, cooking and food conservation, but also IT, entrepreneurship, accounting, social media, music, sewing, herbalism, permaculture, woodworking, photography, traditional crafts like distilling alcohol from fruits and baking bread in a Slovenian 'bread oven', and many more.
And we want to learn more yet!
