I love to do just about anything outdoors, I primarily hike and camp. However, on my bucket list of things I want to become more involved in are: fly fishing (I don't know how yet but it looks like fun!), kayaking, and hunting. I LOVE walking and prefer it to driving if I can help it. I also enjoy reading if the mood strikes me and making delicious concoctions in a crock pot!

1. Seeing the madness that goes on in spring in Southeast Alaska during herring season!! I am mainly thinking about a boat I saw capsize because of the weight of the little fish!!

2. Dogan Country in Mali: I could not believe the infrastructure those people made so long ago and how well it stood up to the test of time! I was also amazed that people actually lived in those same establishments up until around 50 years ago.

3. An Easter celebration: in Benin in which a whole community dressed in white and went down the streets signing French hymns at midnight!! They embraced my conrads and I as kin even though we didn't speak a lick of French and shared a beautiful evening together defying language and culture barriers.
