ABOUT ME

Right now I'm here because my roommate and I need to stay somewhere until we can save up enough to move into another an apartment. We have to leave the one we're in now because the apartment triggered my asthma so severely that I was in and out of the hospital four times in a month.

I come with an awesome roommate who makes killer cookies and 3 small birds who have been with me most of my life.

Once I'm settled I'll pay it forward- there will always be an open couch at my place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now my roommate and I need a place to crash for a bit. We had to move out because of an emergency situation and need to save for first/last/deposit so we can move. Until then? Who knows what will happen or who we will meet.

And once we're established in our new place, there will always be an open couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Plenty. I climbed from homelessness to couch surfing to an apartment - it looks like life has said it's time to take a step back and get a fresh perspective! I see it as a blessing in disguise. Something good will come of this.

I've surfed on lots of couches in my life, and did some long term surfing (3 months and then one year) with families that were awesome enough to help keep me warm and dry while I established myself.

Interests

Everything. I like and play music. I write. I stargaze. I want to know where people are coming from. I love philosophy and English as much as Math and Physics. My true love is astronomy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a bookaholic and I love it. I play several variations of the flute (traditional, Native American, Fife, Pennywhistle) and love Big Band and Swing. I can't say there's a genre of music I don't like. Sure, there are not so great songs in every genre, but there's also great ones.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a ton of esoteric knowledge, from recipes to avian medicine to astronomy... you name it, I have at least a comment on it! Life is my classroom, I learn everywhere. Life has been so crazy and I'm glad- I've learned so much.

I'm pretty good with computers if you're looking at this from a practical standpoint. I can also sew, tailor, mend and fix.

I'm up for learning anything.
