About Me

Hi! I’m Eshima – and yes, my name’s still not that common around here.
I’m a coffee lover, Q Grader, and founder of Café Perené, a specialty coffee roastery based in my hometown in the Peruvian rainforest. I grew up surrounded by coffee farmers and have always believed that the best way to show gratitude is through a fresh, carefully brewed cup.

These days, I work closely with producers across the Selva Central, sourcing organic, chemical-free coffee and cacao directly from the people who grow it – many of whom I consider family. Through my companies, Café Perené and Antami Coffee Tools, I’m not only sharing high-quality products with the world, but also supporting education, fair trade, and better practices in every step of the supply chain.

A bit obsessed with coffee? Definitely. But it’s more than a passion – it’s a way of life :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Me and my family love to share what we have – our work, our food, and the knowledge passed down through generations. Hosting or connecting with people through Couchsurfing feels like a natural extension of that.

We truly enjoy cultural exchange, deep conversations over good coffee, learning about other places, and sharing stories about life in the Peruvian rainforest. Whether it's about nature, food, or faraway adventures, we believe that the best moments come from honest connection and shared experiences.
