Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Esmeralda, originally from France and Spain. After working as a nurse, I decided to take a year to explore Australia, learn, and live new experiences. I’m 35, curious, independent, and very open to meeting new people and sharing stories.
I love the ocean, photography, and outdoor activities. I’m also passionate about personal growth: learning languages, challenging myself with new skills (like surfing!), and staying active. I’ve traveled solo before in South America, where I spent several months volunteering in hostels and in a wildlife refuge. Later, in the north of Spain, I also volunteered in a surf camp. Those experiences taught me adaptability, simplicity, and the joy of cultural exchange.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, Couchsurfing is not just about a free place to sleep. It’s about connecting with locals, discovering daily life from the inside, and making genuine connections.
The best memories I keep from the places I’ve visited are always the people I’ve met and the moments shared with them.
Australia is a new adventure for me: I want to improve my English, discover the country, and meet people who are willing to share a little piece of their world. In return, I’d be more than happy to share mine, whether in French, Spanish, or just over a nice conversation.
