Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Floating through the stars, searching for constellation #73110, spaceship drifting.
ABOUT ME
I am currently a university student. I tend to agree with Nietzche's assertion that "without music, life would be a mistake." Music is a language that can bring people to mutual understanding, it can provoke, it can move. According to every Meyers-Briggs I have taken I am an INFP, as a result I can be a bit shy upon first meeting someone and may be quiet and reserved.
PHILOSOPHY
Altruistic anarchist I guess? I hold the belief that humxnkind is not "homo homini lupus" as Hobbes stated, rather people are generally good and should be treated as such. In particular greatly influenced by Kropotkin's concept of Mutual Aid. If you aren't familiar with Kropotkin, "the anarchist prince," his theory of mutual aid is that cooperation and the mutual assistance between people is fundamental to human evolution and progress. To me, the entire couchsurfing system is one big example of anarchist principles being put into practice.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
To be honest, just getting on but it seems like an awesome way for people to help each other out mutually.
Interests
I love to play the drums, sing, play piano, and struggle hopelessly with the guitar. Going to shows, playing shows, finding new music, DIY venues, art, collective spaces. Meeting new folks. Musicians and artists. Hooligans. Cooking, I especially enjoy baking. Donating blood. Learning about different cultures. History and politics fascinate (and frustrate) me. Anarchism. Anti-capitalism. The production of ruckus in many facets. Beer. Current band: http://www.myspace.com/slobdonovan
