HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I got to know about this through a friend and I used it in 2012 for my travel through the US. As I only had good experiences, I will now redo it during my bike trip with my brother through South America...

Interests

I absolutely love nature and sports! Therefore, I spend a lot of my free time somewhere in the mountains, be it climbing, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding or hiking. Another big passion of mine is gymnastics, so whenever I'm not outdoors, I'm most likely somewhere in a gym... And I definitely work to live, as I regularly just take some time off to travel the world :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most recent moment that just made me speechless was when I recently was traveling Hawai'i on my own. I grew up learning not to trust just anyone, but there I met lots of extremely helpful and friendly locals and when one of them offered me to leave some of my stuff at his house while I was backpacking and to even drive once around the island to come and pick me up after a 3 days hike, I gave it a try and trusted him. It just left me awestruck when a week later he appeared exactly in time to pick me up! And it made me conclude that I'm not wrong in believing that people are inherently good!!!
