Studying Tourism and Urbanization. Traveling as much as life allows me to. About to move to Singapore for a 6-month internship.

ABOUT ME

I currently live in Rouen, Normandy and study in Nanterre, Paris. I’ve previously spent time in London, New-York and more recently Buenos Aires, where I met my wonderful husband.

I was born in France from french parents with roots from Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. It sure helped me getting the travel bug and getting curious about different cultures and languages.

My love for American history got me to learn English and Spanish which I speak dayly with my husband, friends and at work/school.

We speak 3 languages at home which can be a little confusing to people sometimes.

My dream is to go on a world tour with my husband and going from one continent to another on a cargo boat. Whenever I get to travel to a new country/region I mostly want to discover the food, the customs and what life is like in this place. I would like to longer the days so I could have more time to read. My regret in life is to never have studied politics and sociology, but who knows ? One day maybe :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed quite extensively during the past few years, mostly while traveling across the USA and Europe and I also participated to many CS events in Buenos Aires and Rouen, my hometown.

Interessen

I'm interested in geopolitics and the sociology behind urbanization but my favorite past time is traveling.

I enjoy a good meal and unfortunately for my health, I’ve got a sweet tooth. Vegetarian for life ! My favorite food is/are : Italian, French, Greek, Peruvian and Cajun. I put spices on everything. I enjoy a good cocktail.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I used to play the saxophone, so I basically love Soul and Jazz music, though I am a big Michael Jackson fan and I also really love Queen. I recently discovered electrotango music and really got a taste for it, especially for the band Bajofondo.

I'm not a novel fan, I mostly enjoy reading history books.

Argentine actor Ricardo Darin is my favourite. I very much like the following movies starring him : El secreto de sus ojos, Septimo, El hijo de la novia, Nueve Reinas.
I'm also a big fan of French actor/director Julie Delpy : Before Sunset, Before Sunrise, Before Midnight, 2 days in Paris, 2 days in NY

Other movies I like : For colored girls, Tiempos de valientes, Some Like It Hot, The Wizard of Oz, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Sex and the City 1/2, Hable con Ella, La mala educacion, central do brasil, Coming to America, O'Brother, Cinema Paradiso, Casse tête Chinois.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Moving to South America, seeing the Grand Canyon, crossing the Andes and hiking at 5,200 meters high on a remote and not yet touristic, rainbow mountain in Peru.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I've learned a lot from people all my life, and luckily for me I've been surrounded by people from different regions of the world, each with their own viewpoints and lifestyles. As the day of today, I really enjoy meeting people who are willing to share their opinions and knowledge about the world's issues (politics, economy, environmental issues..), I enjoy it more than gussing on the latest blockbuster !
