I joined a travel competition once. I didn't win.

I'm very spontaneous with my travels, often traveling with little planning and altering the plan midway. That's how I usually end up on exciting adventures, such as trekking to Eyjafjallajökull solo or swimming off the coast of Copenhagen during winter.

I do enjoy travelling alone. There's more adventure, no compromising on the things you'd want to do and not to mention, less drama. You get to meet more people, and most importantly, you get to meet yourself.

I absolutely adore children! But because I am male, gender and societal norms dictate that I should not be this amused by the antics of children, lest I seem pedophilic. But screw gender norms. I have been teaching children how to swim for the past 4 years, and it is a great pastime for me.

I say weird things. Sometimes it's funny and makes people laugh. Sometimes it's just plain weird. But people seem to like me anyway. (At least that's what they say.)

Most of all, like everyone on this site, I enjoy meeting new people. It always gives new perspective.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

1.) Hitch hiking down Sweden with only a sleeping bag. Getting picked up by 2 afghans, 2 iraqis, 2 iranians and a bosnian war refugee who spoke no english. Sleeping in car parks, cemeteries and bushes. Finally making it to Copenhagen in the end.

2.) Seeing the northen lights. Alone. In the middle of a frozen lake. At -20 degrees celsius.

3.) Climbing glaciers with spiked shoes. Seeing the norwegian fjords from the top of a mountain as the sun set.

4.) Hitchhiking around Iceland, where I climbed mountains and volcanoes, got attacked by birds, dived in glacier water, got invited to spend the night in a 100 year old summer house, and slept under the wreck of an B-52 bomber.
