About Me

Anyone know where to get a cheap road bike? Around 30$ asking would be great. Thx

I grew up in Bellingham Washington. I spent many long years thumbing around and bicycling America. I am working on getting into school now. I had a bad broken back most of my life and was hit by a car while bicycling from San Francisco to Indiana and back in 2015. I recently got my passport and travelled to malaysia to receive medical attention and feel right as rain now. I love snowy wet mountainous climates. I love to ski and miss it so much. I love fütball and would love to take on any challengers for some fun. I'm interested in everything science and especially biology and chemistry, though I want to go to school to study law. If I had to pick a profession though I would be a pilot or be a lawyer and just own my own private plane lol.

Hallo,

I am new to international travel, I wonder if you would have any pointers for learning to speak Deutsch when I arrive approximately February 2nd. I guess the foreign German office is only located in Berlin? Do you know if that is correct or maybe I'm wrong and I could find my way in other cities like Frankfurt or Munich? **Edit** I have found they are call alien offices and have found one near Frankfurt but I'm still as likely to go explore after first visiting one to ask about language course.

And any pointers on camping outside? Or finding work would be best. I know it's a long shot to find work as a non native who doesn't even speak Deutsch yet. But I would work for shelter or food or a guide to help me get educated.

Gute Besserung

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

New to Germany and trying to make myself at home. I thought I was German untill last week I looked up as much as there is to about my family ties. My mom's father's father's father's father's goes back to Netherlands where I get the name weirks. Can't find where my mom's mom is from exactly but her maiden name was Evans and seems to be a large number of Welsh with the name. My mom's father's mom is Czechoslovakian and her dad is German I think. But my dad was adopted in Illinois and they won't reveal his birth parents so no one knows. So only know that I'm 1/8 Dutch 1/16 German and 1/16 Czech. And likely 1/4 Welsh.

I'm going to enroll in German classes and looking for anyone who might help me with learning or even applying for student visa to stay. I'm also looking to work. I'm a good hard worker and know a bit about architecture, landscaping, and cooking and cleaning.

Music, Movies, and Books

Reading mein kampf cause it's legal where I'm from. Also Hitler had a profound sense of spirituality and a good sense of history.

John Marco Allrgo- mushroom and the sacred cross. And Graham hancock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bicycled from San Francisco to Indiana and back. Was hit by a car in OKC on the way to Indiana and still kept going. Been a long recovery and oh so glad to feel right again.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Looking to be involved in activities. So it doesn't hurt to ask me I'd be happy to make friends.

I can mow your lawn, pull your weeds, clean your gutters, wash your dishes and your floors and windows. I can cook and make a damn good pasta and love good Indian and Thai cuisine. I can build you a chicken coop and garage or fix your roof. I can stand in for you at your job if you teach me I'm a quick learner. I can work your fields and feed your animals. I can shovel your driveway. I can look after your place and am good around kids. Honest and reliable in a home environment I clean up after myself and enjoy quiet environments is why I choose to live outside as much as I can because I love nature not that I don't get along with people because I do have lots of friends all over America.
