Overview
About Me
Hi, my name is Ethan. I grew up in a small town with 5,000 people in the mid western United States. I wanted to step outside of my boundaries, so I am attending college in the big city of St. Louis. I am also further diversifying myself by studying abroad in Madrid, Spain this spring. I am living with a host family while studying in Madrid and have come to the conclusion that the best way to get to know a city is through the eyes of a local.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Due to the fact that i have been staying with a host family in Madrid, it has helped me realize that the best way to see a city for what it really is, is with the help of someone who lives there. When I travel, I don't want to be the typical tourist. I don't plan on just seeing the most popular attractions, however I would like to find the things that are more off the beaten path.
Interests
Sports (specifically American Football and ice hockey), hiking, trying new kinds of food, trying different kinds of beers, music, hanging out with my friends, meeting new people, and finding new and interesting places.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite types of music are alternative rock, and classic rock. Honestly though, I will listen too and enjoy mostly any kind of music. My favorite movies are Goodwill Hunting, Green Mile, School of Rock, the Lord of the Rings movies, and also the Harry Potter movies. My favorite books are Ender's Game, the Maze Runner Trilogy, and The Hunger Games trilogy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 15 years old, I traveled to Australia's golden coast for 20 days without my family.
