About Me

I work in Film because I appreciate the visual medium. I'm a big fan of good writing and mythic story structure, and often become obsessed with those who have mastered both. I'm looking for unique stories in life to grow my capabilities as a writer and filmmaker. I'm at the beginning of this journey but I'm excited to see where it takes me.

I enjoy craft cocktails and good company, but when I'm broke cheap beer and good company suits me just fine.

My music taste is hard to pin down but I'm an avid consumer. I've fallen for more artists then I can count. There's something about the beauty in someones voice that makes my heart swell.

My ideal government is no government. The optimist in me thinks human decency could suffice. The realist in me knows otherwise.

I've just started to dabble in Taoism and I'm excited to see what that brings me.

I'm a big fan of Tabletop RPGs (D&D 3.5/5 and others). The practice of story telling through a collective imagination is therapeutic for me.

Growing up I did a lot of Ceramics. Recently I've been longing to reconnect with clay. So if you have a pottery wheel, I'm interested.

I listen to a lot of podasts. My favorite has to be Harmontown. I will forever be a die hard Harmenian. Gimlet, a podcast company, has put out a good deal in the past few years that are wonderful.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movies/tv vary from month to month but i will always be a huge fan of the tv show "Community" and all of Dan Harmon's multiple creations. Heat Vision and Jack is a masterpiece. Other TV shows: Bored to Death, Silicon Valley, GOT, and Newsroom is a work of art. Also Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. I think Netflix did a marvelous job with Daredevil and Jessica Jones. I could talk all day about TV shows.

My favorite movie is currently Boy, a movie written and directed by Taika Waititi. Some others worth mentioning are Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Midnight in Paris, and a guilty pleasure of mind is Forgetting Sarah Marshal.

My favorite book(s) is the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy series. I recently picked up Hemingway's "The Sun also Rises." Its quite good. Asimov's "Naked Sun" is a brilliant sci-fi noir.

Im really in love with the newest Angel Olsen album plus the new Frank Ocean. Other artists: FKA Twigs, Rhye, St. Vincent, Adult Jazz, Billie Holiday, Daniel Johnston, Andy Shauf, Wilco. The past year I've been obsessed with Vulfpeck and their newest album is quite amazing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ive only broken a bone once. It was in my foot, a small one and a common bone to break. I was 11 or 12 and chasing a bouncy ball down the street. I tripped over the curb. I then spent the better part of two hours convincing my mother that I did indeed break my foot. I suppose such a serious injury doesn't often result from such an innocent act. Is that amazing?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good company and hopefully some good cocktails. I love some good conversations on practically any topic.
