About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Develop a sense of community. Be patient and kind to myself while I work through various kinds of conditioning.

ABOUT ME

I'm inquisitive, introspective, caring, empathic, genuine, insightful, thoughtful, silly, spiritual and philosophical, among other things. I enjoy thinking philosophically and tend to gravitate towards one-on-one conversation. I love connecting with others and hearing different people's narratives and philosophies.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to cultivate both the "internal" and "external" conditions in order to be happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm free to meet up and maybe host sometimes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met up with and stayed with people in Europe. I hosted someone at my home in the U.S. once.

Interests

I enjoy intellectually stimulating conversation (especially if both parties are emotionally available) and getting to know people on a deep level as well as casual schmoozing (sometimes). I am interested in basketball, food, culture, spirituality and many other things. I like to stay active and eat healthfully. I've been a vegetarian since the summer of 2016.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Goodwill Hunting is my favorite movie. It touches on so many themes: relationships, psychology, intelligence, masculinity, and many others while being entertaining and quotable. How bout dem apples?

Music: Various kinds, eclectic; I'm trying to be more mindful of the effects that music has on me.

Books: My favorite book is "Black Boy" by Richard Wright.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Semana Santa (Holy Week) in Andalusia, Spain was quite haunting.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English and Spanish.

I know a fair amount about Buddhist and other kinds of Eastern philosophy.

I can lend a helping hand wherever it is needed.
