ABOUT ME

I grew up in the western US (was born in Montana) and western Canada. Hated school but loved to study. Passtionate about music, and encourage everyone else to be passionate about something!

I have three amazing kids (all grown up now). About 18 years ago, I took my three kids to Australia: the plan was to spend one year here doing PhD research on Australian Aboriginal contemporary music. Ended up staying and loving it.

I have a masters degree in Ethnomusicology. I currently work for the Australian Government, but I also teach yoga four times a week, which keeps me sane and balanced.

I live in Canberra, which is great because it's not too big, and it's close to the bush. I love being awakened in the morning by the birds.

I joined CS at my daughter's suggestion. I plan to travel in the future, but also look forward to hosting folks here, in Australia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted several people at my house in Canberra, and it's been a great experience!

Well, let's see...I can cook, and sew. I haven't done any couch surfing yet, so I don't have any practical knowledge in that area, but I love to meet new people and see the world through their eyes.
