Hi, my name is Etienne,

I am moving back to Vancouver after two years of post-graduation travel and am looking for a place to rent starting March. In the meantime, I am looking to couchsurf for the month of February while I look for a new home!

In Vancouver I will be continuing my career as an online video marketer specialized in work for NGOs (I don’t want to sell crap, only what benefits the planet and society ☺️).

I have been living in communities around the world since the age of 15. This gave me great communication skills, and made me very adaptable and respectful of people’s differences. One of my favorite skill to grow is that of creating environments for people to feel comfortable and blossom.

I am very organized and am looking for a tidy and clean space where the dishes don’t have to be a recurring topic of conversation.

I can be both extroverted and introverted, and need a healthy balance of socializing and personal time.

I am a passionate reader with an affinity for philosophy and psychology, topics I love to talk about!

I am also a certified yoga teacher who practices every morning, and a professional cook (hint: I love cooking for people 😉).

I also like to sing, play the piano and ukulele, dance and do acroyoga.

My dream is to become a geo-political journalist, and one day live with my children on Mauritius Island, where I am from.

I am a certified yoga teacher and practice yoga or meditation everyday for one hour.
I also worked as a professional cook during my studies, and love cooking for and hosting people.
I love music and would like to spend more time playing the ukulele, piano and to sing.
Finally I am currently passionated by online marketing and how it can be used ethically to defend sustainable causes. I am also a professional video maker and love documentaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 15, I left Mauritius to go to a boarding school in Wales. The school was a United World College. The concept of those schools is to reunite as many different kids from different nationalities and social backgrounds into one place to learn about sustainable development. After graduating from there, I took a gap year, and went travel around the world. I had all my belongings in one big backpack and was going to see my friends I'd met at school in their own country. Such an amazing experience, I'll tell you more about it when we meet.
