ABOUT ME

In March of 2013 I left home to travel around the world. I started in Asia, went over to Europe, back to Asia, down to Australia, back up to Asia, and down to Australia again. In July, 2015 I returned home to Seattle for 7 months. I spent 2016 exploring south and Central America. In 2017 I went to parts of Africa and more of Europe. I was just back home for 6 months and now I’m on the road again to see the US and Canada!

When I first started traveling, It was mostly about seeing all the big places I've heard so much about. But as time passed and I checked off many of the world's best known cities, I've transitioned into focusing on getting off the beaten path and meeting interesting people.

My passion is with the outdoors. I've explored the Alps, the Himalayas, the Australian outback, and many of East/Southeast Asia's highest peaks. Now I plan on seeing what home has to offer!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I've met quite a few people through CS. I'm always amazed by the kindness of a stranger and have made lasting friendships through short meetings. The people I meet on my travels have more of a lasting memory than the places I've been.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met many people through CS, but have only stayed with a few. So far, everyone I've met has been great. I hope to continue to meet more people and also hope to be able to host someday. Going forward I would like to focus more on getting to know locals, rather than the destinations.

I love the outdoors. I enjoy most things that have to do with the outdoors such as hiking, climbing, backpacking, snowboarding, kayaking, cycling, etc...

As much as I love the outdoors I'm also a city boy. I enjoy trying and seeing new things in other countries that I normally wouldn't be able to at home.
