About Me
Hello everybody, here is a lovely girl from South Korea ;) 🇰🇷 You can call me Bibian(English name), or just ‘Bibi’! At the moment I’m on a kind of gap year studying English and working in Dublin, Ireland. But I’m planning to go on the longest journey ever around Europe from 1st October. So I’m a bit nervous but really excited! I can’t wait to meet new friends from everywhere! I’m a quite cheerful and easygoing person. And I am very thoughtful and open-minded so that I can get along with everybody. I like to meet people who have different culture and share stories, dreams whatever. Besides, I love to try something new! If you have a good idea please let me try it :D Lastly, I am very tidy and organised so you don’t have to worry about me staying your place. I ensure staying at your place very carefully and cleanly. What does ‘travel’ mean for you? For me, I think, it’s the best learning about life and world, and moreover, ultimately the best way of LEARNING ABOUT MYSELF. I’d like to figure out myself more through this travel :) If you want to get to know more about me, feel free visit my instagram www.instagram.com/bibibig_lee
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am fond of sharing culture and experience with people. I think it’s such a valuable to get to know and experience different culture. I’ve been staying abroad for 7 months and have a lot of friends over the world. I used to be afraid to meet foreigner, and I was a kind of coward. But, since I started to study English seriously, I realised that the world is wider and bigger than I thought and I can be A GOOD FRIEND with anybody over the world as long as I can communicate with them, and even ended up living abroad on my own haha. It’s an amazing improvement for myself, isn’t it? I strongly believe that the world is a big village!
Every destination has plenty of attractions. Of course, their natural sceneries and artworks are incredible but it’s more important for me ‘who I met there’. I think the people who I met define the colour of memory which I spent in the city. Good people make the impression of place last stronger and longer in my mind. That’s why I prefer to spend time with local people to have just ‘tour’ as a foreigner. I look forward to listening your local story, folks! 💕
When I found out Couchsurfing a couple months ago, I was not familiar with it and it’s unknown within South Korea as well, even though plenty of Korean people go abroad for their holiday every year. But the more I search Couchsurfing, the more I was amazed at this magnificent community. I’d really love to experience in this community and introduce this to my Korean friends in the future. Furthermore I want to invite you guys to Korea as well!

Music, Movies, and Books
I think I prefer a sort of soft and relaxing music like Jazz. But it depends on my mood haha. I sometimes enjoy clubing at night. I love songs of Radiohead, Norah Jones and The XX, and of course, I like K-pop as well. I’m so proud of it.
I’m really into Movies. I’ve been a really big fan of Harry potter since I was a child. It’s like a dream for me haha. I think, I’ve watched whole serious more than five times in my life. And you know what, I’ve finally been to the Harry potter studio in London last May! It was beyond Imagine!
One of my favorite film is ‘Lala land’. It’s all about love and dream. It shows straight us the way life goes. And I love not only its plot but also its beautiful scenes and OST songs. If you have not watched this, we can watch it together! Also I have a lot of movie files in my laptop :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living on the other side of the Earth, away from Korea. It’s my first farthest and longest stay in my life. And for this, I quit my Job! Yay! 🤣
But I’m gonna do more amazing things! There a lot to do ahead in life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love drawing and painting and I studied Industrial design in university. I worked as a designer organising some exhibitions after graduation. I held an exhibition about ‘The Little Prince’, which is one of the most loved novel in Korea. And I’ve even taught at an art academy when I was in university. I loved my job and I’m good at drawing and photography. But nowadays I haven’t drawn or painted for a while. I know I should keep practicing so I’m gonna start drawing and shooting photos again during the trip. I hope I can make some artwork for myself. If you want I can teach you my design skills like Adobe photoshop, Illustrator or drawing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
First of all, I can share Asian culture including Korean culture. I can cook REAL Korean food for you and teach you some expressions not only in Korean, but also Chinese and Japanese.
I can shoot some photos or draw portrait for you! I’m not so professional but quite good hehe. I hope it would be a good present for you!
