Born in South of France, lived there until I was 20. Then lived for quite a while in Paris, and also one year in Belgium, and here and there for very short spells. Did a gap year age 27. For the last 25 years I have been living in Scotland.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No couch surfing experience with CS as yet, but I like the philosophy immensely. As couchsurfing existed before CS did ( amazingly!!) I had a lot of those of these 'pre-CS couchsurfing experiences' when I was a student. Indeed one of the mission of one of the places where I studied ( College of Europe in Bruges) was to create an address book with the addresses of your fellow students to visit them later or or visit some of their friends etc.... Nedtworking in the pre-internet, pre-mobile phone age, imagine that!!!!The States was also another place I did lots of couchsurfing, as in the States they are very welcoming, or at least were in 1977!
I have been introduced to CS via a CS couchsurfer, and if people in CS are all like him, well indeed a great, even wonderful idea!

Lots of interest, the main one is interest in learning and discovering.
Doing things outdoor.
Environmental law
Politics too.

Musica, film e libri

Simply adores cinema, as a student in Paris,used to go to the movies at least 3 times a week. These were the great years of Italian cinema, but also du cinema d'auteur ( en francais dans le texte). Independent world cinema is my thing.
Like Jacques Brel, Charles Trenet, Georges Brassens, Coluche, Reiser, Babar et Tintin , et aussi Manhattan transfer
