Hi, I’m André, a 35-year-old traveler from Germany.
At the moment, I’m taking a break from my job as a medical engineer to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Australia. I’m on a sabbatical, backpacking with no fixed plan and just enjoying the freedom of discovering new places and cultures.

I love meeting people, having deep conversations, and learning about different perspectives. I also laugh a lot—especially at myself—because life is more fun when you don’t take everything too seriously. In my free time, you’ll often find me exploring the outdoors, hiking, or climbing.

Over the years, I’ve visited many countries and had some amazing adventures, meeting incredible people along the way. Couchsurfing is perfect for me because it’s not just about finding a place to sleep; it’s about connecting with locals, sharing stories, and experiencing a place in a more authentic way.

Whether it’s hiking, cooking together, or just having a good chat, I love turning random encounters into great memories. When I’m back home, I also host Couchsurfers because I like the idea of travelers helping travelers.
