We want to discover Europe and all its amazing different cultures, meet new people, make new friends and bring some bits of our own culture to the people we'll meet. We want to visit cities but not just as simple tourists, go where tourists don't go...

ABOUT ME

We are 4 french students from 21 to 23 years old who live in Lille, France. We are planning to go on a trip across Europe for 3 weeks in august 2011. We'll hit 11 cities in which we'll stay between 2 and 3 days.

We want to discover Europe and all its amazing different cultures, meet new people, make new friends and bring some bits of our own culture to the people we'll meet. We want to visit cities but not just as simple tourists, we want go where tourists don't usually go and learn about the different lifestyles.

Valentin, 21 years old, studying engineering, studied abroad and loves travelling. He speaks french and english fluently and German (could be better ;-)

Axel, 21 years old, studying engineering, travelled several times in the USA and in the UK. he studied in the UK for a year. He speaks french, italian and english fluently and some spanish.

Alex, 23 years old. he has just finished his finances and accounting studies. He loves discovering new countries and cultures. He speaks french and english fluently and German.

4th guy let us down recently so we are trying to find a replacement. if we can't find anyone we'll just be 3 to go.

as we are new to this community we haven't done much so far but we hope we'll be able to share our experience and cultural differences with others coachsurfers.

Interests

Alex: I like going out, speaking with people from different culture, running, and reading. I am also fond of bicycle strolls!! I like sports, new technologies (a bit geek I guess ), cinema, clubbing and eating.

Valentin: I like hanging out with friends, meeting new people and travelling. I'm very interested in antique cultures such as egyptian and Greek culture. I like water sports (scuba diving, wake surfing..) I also practice snowboarding in winter. I watch a lot of TV series (Dexter, Fringe, Lost, HIMYM...) and movies. I also like going out in bars and clubs. I love good food (mostly french, italian and asian).

Movies: American beauty, 99F, Fight Club, Good Morning England, Into the Wild, My Name Is Khan, Tarantino's movies, Coppola's movies (both Father and Daughter), Match Point

Music: We love different styles of music, from house to rock, r'n'b, and some classical music

Books: Comics such as Tintin, Black & Mortimer... French literature

Teach, Learn, Share

We will be happy to bring some bits of the French language, and things like cultural habits, way of life in France for example...

We could also bring some technical skills related to our studies (IT for Valentin & Axel, economics concerning Alex)
