You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. In Nepal... Seen Mt Everest standing atop the 18,000 ft high Kalapathar. Beautiful!!

Climbed 3 peaks in 12 days this June and howled my heart out while climbing Ladakhi. It was way too beautiful up there.

Landed in Iran without a visa or an itinerary in hand. Then took off on a ten day road trip across the north-west of Iran and came away amazed
