Hi! My name is Eva. I recently quit my masters degree to backpack around the world and see what else is out there. Since I was young I’ve always had wanderlust and grabbed every opportunity to get out of the Netherlands and explore different cultures. This is why I did a high school program in Arizona, did my internship in Surinam and did an exchange program in Spain. I’ve a lively and upbeat approach to life and love doing and learning new things. I’m always in for a new adventure!

In Asia I started taking diving courses and I’m now a certified Stress and Rescue diver. When I was younger I always said I wanted to be a mermaid. Diving made me realize even more that I’m freaking in LOVE with the ocean. I really want to continue this journey and maybe someday even be an instructor. If you know of any beautiful diving sights nearby, please don’t hesitate to share.

I like being creative. Since traveling I picked up my old camera again and enjoy going out for some photography sessions. I can’t say I’m a star in it yet but I’m learning. One thing I always carry with me is my analog camera.

I love meeting new people, I can honestly say it’s one of my favorite hobbies. I wish to learn about different cultures, gain experiences and beautiful memories!

Also to be completely honest I try to stay low budget so I can enjoy my travels as long as possible. What better way than to combined those two things trough this beautiful community! I hope to return the favor one day.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I enjoy all kinds of music, but when I’m by myself I mostly listen to Indie and surfpop. I also really enjoy a good underground techno party and some reggae for the day after.

When it comes to movies I also have a broad interest, from soppy to horror and everything in between. But if I’ve to choose; based on true stories are my favorite.

I try to read more and even took my e-reader with me but most of the time I get too distracted by talking to people. So sadly it is collecting some dust in my backpack.

Going back-to-basic in the Amazon rainforest, wild camping through Norway and chasing the northern lights in Finland are definitely my most treasured memories.
