Hi!
I've just started my gap year before uni, during which I hope to do as much travelling as possible and visit as many new places as possible. My plans are very very loose at the moment, but right now I'm slowly travelling up from the south of France to my home in the north of England.
I really enjoy trying new things and I'm hoping this year will allow me to discover many new hobbies and interests that I would never discover if I had gone straight to university. I also want to spend as much time as I can speaking in languages other than my native language, English, although I would be more than happy to do a language exchange if you wish to practice!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really want to practice my languages as much as possible and meet locals in order to truly understand real life in each city. Couchsurfing seems like a fab chance for me to do this while also being able to share my culture too, plus it gives me a lot more fluidity as I travel.

Interests

History is my passion and it's what I'm going to study at university. Throughout the year I do lots of historical reenactments and in each city I visit I'd love to see the museums and historical sites in order to learn more about the local history.
I have recently become interested in filmmaking, and while I'm relatively inexperienced I find it highly enjoyable and hopefully I'll get to make many more short films this year.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I've ever seen were the stained glass windows in Prague castle. They were absolutely stunning and definitely the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you would like, I would love to cook you a meal as a thank you. Although not very British, quesadillas are my speciality but I would also like to try as many new recipes as possible as practice for when I move out of home.
