I am currently taking advantage of the brief moment of freedom found between graduating university and beginning a career to take a solo trip to Madrid! I was drawn here by La Tabacalera in Lavapies, where I hope to learn more about self-managed social centers while enjoying the music, art, dance, and workshops held within the space.

Otherwise, I'm just hoping to soak in the Spanish culture, learn the language, and meet new people!

I'm new to Couchsurfing, but if it connects me with other travelers seeking out the "local" experience, I'm all for it!

Interests

I love everything from cozy little cafes to jazz bars to clubs that play retro music late into the night (I'm already a huge fan of a disco called Independance - if you haven't been there yet, let's go!). I'm happy to travel outside the city for a long hike or simply spend the day lounging and reading in Buen Retiro.
