About Me

After leaving my comfort zone behind and moving to another country I am now ready to try couchsurfing. No, honestly, I am really looking forward to genuine couchsurfing experiences. At the moment I am travelling quite a lot within Ireland (9 months by the end of May) meeting great people from Ireland and abroad and making friends. These last months taught me not to plan too many steps of my journey ahead but enjoying the wonderful moments of the present, seizing unique opportunities and not walking past them in a hurry just to comply your day's schedule. And in general I don't take myself (and my bad jokes) too serious. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I guess this is the part where you should most likely not sound like someone just looking for a bed to sleep in but rather like an interesting guest. If the rest of my text has not convinced you yet about me being an easy-going, open-minded, pleasant, funny (my own perception) person to be around with this paragraph won't do it neither I am afraid.
I am interested in people's stories, where they are coming from, where they are going to and what is driving them. I think it is pretty interesting to see and experience cultures developing i.e. change because this is what we are all doing, around the world, regardless of prosperity, ethnic group or origin in general, no matter if we even know or doing it unconsciously.

Interests

...are wide. I really enjoy learning from people, regardless whether it is by listening to their stories, sharing ideas or doing something together.
I do a lot of different sports (Badminton, Skiing, Cycling,...). I like dancing Tango Argentino, drawing and sketching (especially portraits; and actually I should do this more often), reading (love classics!). Speaking of that I am also into ancient Greek language and culture. In autumn this year I will start my Physics studies back in Germany.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
almost everything, especially Alternative Rock; but to name some well known among all of them: from Liszt to Dvořak, Beatles to Bowie, Metallica to Marilyn Manson, Janis Joplin to Seeed, Eyedea And Abilities to Die Antwoord and Pink Floyd to Alan Parsons Project.

Books:
Classics or books about mathematics/physics and Earth sciences in general.

Movies:
Definitely Short Movies- I just love them!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That probably depends on your perspective, rating it as amazing or rather normal. But for me travelling alone and also living and working in another country for almost one year was a challenge I took and am enjoying a lot now. In doing so I learned about myself (and not only the world around me).

Teach, Learn, Share

"I am too young/old [insert appropriate] for this!" Are you really?

What I Can Share with Hosts

A dinner together (maybe some Northern German dish I cook?) and hopefully an interesting conversation if you'd like to and in which you may exploid my unbearably inexhaustible knowledge (now added lately: travelling Ireland). ;) Otherwise, if you feel like e.g. rearranging your sitting room and are looking for a person to give you a hand with that I would be happy to help you. :)

Countries I’ve Visited
