After traveling a lot and living in different places, as a family with three kids we live now in Bern. we're happy to receive people from around the world to meet other lifestyles and perspectives on life.

Emanuel is an art teachers and Eva is an illustrator and filmmaker. We are also into sports, traveling, reading and meeting friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm (Eva) on couchsurfing since many years, surfing and hosting. I traveled with couchsurfing a lot and in many countries.
I made a long Couchsurfing - break because I had my kids and things changed.
Now we are luckily again in the situation (because we have a separate room) to be able to host people! As I miss traveling, I love to invite the world to my place and meet different people with different backgrounds.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

this miracle about meeting strangers and leaving as friends....
I had so many good conversations, people who opened up their houses for me, let me look behind the scenes of their live and showed me little pieces of their selfe and their personal storys.
It's such a beutiful thing, that enriches me that much.
Couchsurfing for me is having good people taking care of another all over the world, it's no more traveling alone. Thanks to CS I met some real friends in spain, portugal, colombia, costa rica and brasil, palestine, Netherland.... what made me become a convinced Couchsurfer. It's one of the few things I can totally stand behind.

There was a time I was traveling a lot with couchsurfing. Now, that I can't travel that much anymore with the kids, it is my time to host people. And I love doing that also thinking about all the amazing people hosted me in the Past!!

I love the fact, that as a host-person you can give something back to the many persons hosting me in past - not to them directly but to other people, who maybe one day will host someone else. It connects the world somehow together and hopefully adds up something to an understanding and loving being-together.

There's too many . I (Eva) had Couchsurf-Hosts in the junge of Brazil who took me to dance in the carneval, hosts in palestine took me to a wedding, in russia I could go ice-fishing with a host, I could visit meditation-classes with my host in Madrid, and many more...
