CURRENT MISSION

Currently on a 2 year Round The World trip. Spent the last 6 months between South America & Africa. Just got to Europe & will be in Asia next year :)

ABOUT ME

My true passions are connecting with people, learning about other cultures and ways of life, challenging myself, getting out of my comfort zone and expanding my horizons through life experiences and traveling. Last year I realized I had lost my passion for many things and needed to make a change, so I got rid of all my possessions & belongings, and set out to travel the world for a few years. I am by myself, but not lonely. It is challenging. it is amazing. It is eye opening. It is rewarding.

So far I've experienced Carnival in Rio, explored the beaches of brazil, taken a boat thru the fjords in patagonia, southern chile. I've been wine tasting in Argentina's wine region, & explored south Africa by train. After safaris in Kruger park & Swaziland, I enjoyed relaxing on the beautiful coastline in small villages in Mozambique. I spent 2 weeks volunteering at a preschool in Tanzania, then took a ferry to the island of zanzibar. I've explored my family's history in portugal and the azore islands. I ran with the bulls in Spain, had afternoon tea in England, & rode bikes and road tripped around The Netherlands. It's been an adventure. It's been intense and stressful and it's been beautiful and peaceful. I'm always grateful & Im always smiling :)

I have received an incredible amount of hospitality from friends and friends of friends while traveling or just staying in another city after a late night or weekend adventure. I always have opened my home to friends and friends of friends who needed a place for a few days or just a night. I love hosting people, cooking, sharing stories and feeling connecting to the people and world around me.
