I'm an artist and musician currently living in Providence, RI and starting grad school at RISD in the fall. I make a living as a glassblower and sculptor and often travel for work. I enjoy meeting new people and connecting with locals when I travel so couchsurfing seems like a good opportunity to do both and hopefully a cheaper alternative to hotels. I'm a very easy going person, friendly and respectful, and most of the time I'm traveling I'll be gone throughout the day working and just need a place to crash at night.

I constantly apply for scholarships to classes or workshops as well as artist residencies and other programs that enable me to travel and continue making artwork. Many of these programs cover some expenses but not housing, so I'm trying out couchsurfing as an alternative to staying at hotels.
