I am entering my last year of university, studying civil engineering. I have a passion for learning and solving problems. I am a little shy but always polite and courteous. I like learning about other's points of view and what they find important.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was given the opportunity to go to Europe and would like to see as much as I can and meet new people. All cultures are very different and I find it important to really experience them as best as I can. I feel like with couch surfing you can get a true, real feeling for the area by being able to really interact with locals.

I don't have a home of my own yet but would love to open it up to others when I do finally settle down (wherever that may be.)

Interests

I absolutely LOVE music, it is the key to the soul, whether it be as big as the soul of a country or as small as the soul of an individual. I also enjoy adventuring, through the deep woods or a huge city, I just like seeing and experiencing things I never have before.

I am also vey passionate about sustainable design. Current U.S. designs are years behind what European designs are accomplishing. I find European designs so much more attractive and friendly to the environment. It comes back to culture and how every region holds different standards.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to all kinds of music. I don't believe that "bad" music exists because at some point someone created it and created it based on their feelings, emotions, experience . Personally I have a real soft spot in my heart for pure organic analog sounds.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When my grandparents bought their sail boat, I helped them sail it from Houston, TX, across the Gulf of Mexico, around Florida and up the east coast to Annapolis, MD. Being out on 44' boat in the open ocean for those many days was an experience that I will never forget.
