About Me

Currently travelling through Europe so unable to accept guests. Check back in a few months for UK-based hosting!

CURRENT MISSION

Teach English at a Diverbo course in Salamanca in October; then find a new career in London.

ABOUT ME

In June 2015, I quit my job and decided to travel overseas. I love experiencing different cultures, and sharing my own. I still don't really know what I'm doing - maybe you can help me decide?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To grow my overseas network of friends, learn how local people live their lives, and travel to places I didn't even know existed!

Interests

I like learning different philosophies and perspectives because I want to learn more about how the world works. I like discussing with people how economics and politics are influenced by psychology and culture. And I love learning about other languages (because unfortunately I can only speak English).

But - I mean knights, and castles, and naval empires are all pretty cool too. Basically anything we don't have in Australia.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ambient and chill music in the morning, and heavier stuff in the afternoon. Lyrics are good, when they mean something.

I like movies with a clever and circular theme (e.g. Ruby Sparks).

Science fiction books, like Frank Herbert's 'Dune' and his other short stories, are super entertaining. Books that let you escape to another universe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once got into the notorious Berlin night/day club 'The Berghain' on my fourth try after an entire weekend on planning and strategising. Ask me to tell you that story and get your popcorn ready.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you to ride a motorcycle, tie a windsor knot, score a goal with a football, cook a Thai-style fried rice, carve a ski slope, and appreciate fine Japanese and Scotch whisky.

I can also tell you hilarious stories about my adventures, and share great tips on cool places to visit.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, Viet Nam
