About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm going on the Great American Roadtrip; destination: New Orleans!
ABOUT ME
I feel funny filling out "About You" sections. I am an artist of all trades, and I try to keep up as best I can with all my varying interests in writing, drawing, filmmaking and musicianship. I am a student, first and foremost. I am always learning something new and searching for ways to express the knowledge and wisdom of the world through my own interpretation.
I genuinely want to get to know you. No matter who you are, you and I have something worth sharing.
PHILOSOPHY
Everyday, I remind myself
that I have the power to change the things I can
the courage to accept the things I can't
and I search for the wisdom to know the difference.
Life is becoming comfortable with the unknown. Face your fears lest you become them, and never shy away from a new experience.
Sometimes you gotta make things happen and sometimes you gotta let things happen.
Each day, like a bird be free, and teach mankind the moral ABC! Face the world with a smile, for life is always worthwhile.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I believe in building relationships with as many different people as I possibly can. The more we understand each other the better off we all can be. We live in the age of global communication, where it is not just smart to be a world citizen, it is necessary. And hey, guess what? Meeting new people is just downright fun.
I also want to say that I was raised with the manners of a Virginia Gentleman. If I'm staying on your couch, at your house, no step is too small to repay the hospitality. I'll make sure to help keep your house clean, cook meals, contribute money to the water bill, whatever. I don't want anyone to feel that their gracious hospitality isn't appreciated.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In the summer of 2010 I hosted a lot of foreign couchsurfers with my housemates (they were all done through my friend JaX's account). I learned so much from the people that came through in brief spurts into my life. Now, I find myself mnetally prepared for my own journeys, and I can't think of a better way to experience it all than to meet new people by offering my friendship.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked King's Canyon National Forest two summers ago. We climbed up a death-defying snow-covered peak and I was literally afraid for my life. Reaching the 17,000 foot summit was one of the most life-affirming moments I've ever experienced. Each breath felt like my first, and the snow-covered peaks shone with sunny brilliance.
