Overview
About Me
Motorcycle traveler, and bartender. I’m usually on a different community for motorcyclists, but used to enjoy couchsurfing a lot!
Currently on a trip from Minneapolis, up over the lakes in Canada, and staying with friends in Montreal, New York, and West Virginia. Other than those spots, I’ve got very little planned. Just enjoy being on the road for new sights.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I feel like this is the best way to fully immerse in other cultures. To be about to share ideas and stories with other people is always a great opportunity.
I also travel on my bike alone, and a lot of days are spent not talking to many people. I love crashing somewhere in the evening and having someone to talk to and hang out with. I’m quite extroverted
Interests
I'm traveling by motorbike, which is an amazing way to see the country, but does make it harder to feel secure when camping or tramping. I’m going with just a hammock setup this trip, instead of carrying my tent as well. That definitely restricts the amount of places I can camp!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music changes by the week, but anything with a happy vibe and good lyrics.
My favorite book, which albeit is way above my normal reading level, is The Zen and Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. It's about philosophy, and truly changed the way i see the world and the experiences it offers.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Halfway through teaching a "Night Skies" course up at the Boy Scout camp, we were discussing the northern lights and how the heck they work. A scout asks "are those them?", and points over the building we were by. We turned off all the lights and I went up front, thinking it was car lights coming through the woods.
It was for sure the northern lights, and it was my first time seeing them as well! I stayed up with the scouts past 3am talking and learning more about the sky we live under.
Teach, Learn, Share
I used to teach astronomy up at a boy scout camp in northern Minnesota, and love talking about it.
I’ve done a handful of long motorcycle trips, and have tested what gear set ups I like, and learning what other people are using for ultralight camping is always fun.
Sometimes I’m good at travel suggestions if you’re looking for good roads to ride/drive
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook and make drinks, or help with anything. I'm pretty open to whatever. I'm not traveling with a lot, so my tools and stuff is pretty limited!
