Sorry, I have taken a year off to travel. So I won't be hosting until Sept 2022. I am currently traveling in the Balkan.

I work and travel a lot, so I am hosting only when I can and I am very selective. If you are sending a request, please be sure to tell me what makes you a worthwhile guest to me and what makes me a worthwhile host to you. Smokers and late night partiers will not be a good match for my lifestyle.

I have been a school teacher for many years, which makes me a half-professional traveller. I love nature, sports, and to learn about life. I'm easy-going with people but even easier-going with animals. I want to explore the world and experience life. Sometimes I do this by myself, other times I do this by seeing my reflection in the people around me. I sincerely invite you join me in my adventures in life!

At home I want to offer hospitality. While traveling I want to meet locals and experience non-touristy life and the unique culture of each country. I also want to experience and spread the kindness among total strangers, which is universal.

兴趣

Hiking has been the biggest part of my interests, sometimes combined with running and climbing. However, my interests in water sports are where my heart really is. When it is warm enough, I spend most of my weekends paddle boarding and surfing when waves are up. Living in Rome is a great pleasure for me, because the mountains are just 2 hours away, and the beach is less than an hour. Within the city there are endless cultural events and ancient and modern arts around every corner. Hope to share this beautiful city and many other inspiring experiences with other travelers and couch surfers.

Classical and pop music from the good old 80's, Little Miss Sunshine, Fried Green Tomatoes, most movies of Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, and Martin Scorsese. I love reading but it is hard to say which is my favorite category. I guess anything that stimulates my mind and let me learn something new.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Backpacked one year in South America. 3 weeks in the Galapagos was the closest I have ever gotten to heaven. Hitch-hiking and camping for 2 weeks in Iceland was also amazing. Swimming across the Albano Lake and surfing across the Bracciano Lake in a severe storm weren't too bad either. The ONE most amazing thing... just live life as it comes. What is more amazing than that?
