About Me

Hi, my name is Eva, I'm a 26-year-old Kiwi working in the film industry and currently travelling around Europe for the second time. I'm creative and very easy going, love animals (especially dogs), not much of a morning person but wide awake at night! I like going out for a drink with friendly people, going for walks in beautiful places, relaxing and watching movies, sunshine and summer holidays! I wish I could play a musical instrument, but alas, I am too lazy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my favourite parts about travelling is really getting to know a new place, more than the tourists see, and a huge part of that for me is meeting and getting to hang out with locals. I am really keen to meet new people and be shown around your neighbourhood and get the authentic experience! I also like free accommodation, so that's a plus!

Interests

I do a lot of acro yoga back home and I'm also into photography and writing. I adore the theatre, I have an unfortunate affinity for musicals, but don't worry, I got a good dose of them in New York! I also just really enjoy walking around a new place, exploring, food, drink. Wine and gin are both excellent creations.

Music, Movies, and Books

Pretty eclectic music tastes here. Classic rock, The Beatles and The Stones are favourites, folk, Florence + The Machine, Ingrid Michaelson, ska, alternative, The Cat Empire, Kings of Leon, and of course show tunes!
My favourite books are mostly old favourites these days, things like Pride and Prejudice (I know, I know) and a really great murder mystery or thriller like Gone Girl.
As for movies, I could go on forever, so I'll just pick the first few that pop into my head: Sweeney Todd, Love Actually, The Incredibles, and The King's Speech.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you acro yoga, I can cook, and I can tell you all about strange Kiwi living.
