Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe travel is about being immersed in the places' culture and meeting people who live there. And what better way to do it than living with the local people?
I believe that we can make the world better by sharing. One day, when I'm financially independent, I will open up my house for all couch surfers worldwide, and provide them with hospitality just like how I was provided when I was couch surfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I used to travel to Mexico with church groups and build houses for the locals.

Teach, Learn, Share

One of my life goals is to become a teacher. Growing up, I was greatly influenced by many different teachers and I know the power of a mentor-mentee relationship. I think the best way to express my appreciation is to pass the kindness forward.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I used to work in Los Alamos National Lab. That allowed me to travel to the Nevada Test Site, where the US conducted countless nuclear testing and other experiments. It is an eye-opening experience, but also made me think back on what I really want to do with my knowledge.

I also went to college in Seattle, I can tell you about my experience volunteering in the tent cities there.

Countries I’ve Visited

Japan, Mexico, Netherlands
