About Me
Hi everyone! I joined Couchsurfing about 9 months ago.
I was born in Kursk, Russia, grew up in Lithuania, and for the past 20 years I’ve been living in Bournemouth, UK. This mix of cultures has shaped how I see the world and made me appreciate meeting people from different backgrounds.
I work as a Class 1 HGV Driver, which means I spend a lot of time on the road, discovering new places across the UK. My job has taught me to be independent, responsible, and adaptable — qualities that also help when I travel.
I’m really into Stoic philosophy and living a healthy, active lifestyle — I don’t drink or smoke. A few years ago, I caught the travel bug, and since then I’ve been to around 60 countries solo. What I enjoy most is connecting with locals, seeing how people live, and learning about their cultures and everyday challenges. It’s amazing to see how fast the world is changing.
✨ Hobbies & Interests
🌊 Diving – I’m training to become a professional diver and love spending time in or near the water.
🏛 History – Especially the Roman Republic and Empire. I’ve loved history since school.
🚴 Active lifestyle – Walks, cycling, exploring new places outdoors.
🚛 Road trips & driving – Part of my work but also something I genuinely enjoy.
📚 Philosophy & self-improvement – I like meaningful conversations and exchanging ideas.
✈️ Travel – Exploring new cultures and ways of life is one of my biggest passions.
I’d describe myself as open-minded, reliable, and friendly. I enjoy good conversations, sharing experiences, and making genuine connections. Couchsurfing feels like the perfect way to do exactly that. Looking forward to meeting fellow travelers and locals along the way!

Teach, Learn, Share
I love exchanging knowledge and experiences with people. I can teach you how to exercise using just your bodyweight and minimal equipment, which is perfect for staying active while traveling.
I also have some knowledge about scuba diving, and I’m always happy to share tips and stories from my dives around the world.
One of the things I enjoy most about traveling is learning new skills. Over the years, I’ve done a Vipassana meditation course in India, scuba diving in many different parts of the world, and trained at a Muay Thai (Thai boxing) camp in Thailand and Laos. I love challenging myself and picking up new experiences wherever I go.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you some Russian. I can teach you functional training and exercises with the minimum of equipment. Your body could become your own gym
