ABOUT ME

I'm russian, originally from Moscow. For the last 4 years I was living in Spain but also went on a 5 months backpacker trip all over Asia where I discovered CouchSurfing and fell in love with it. I travelled on my own and totally enjoyed it. Now I came back to Spain, and this time to Barcelona!
Last year I did an epic hitch-hiking trip through Europe starting in Saint Petersburg and ending in Barcelona and I have survived!:D It was 20 days crossing 13 countries and 16 cities, meeting amazing people on my way, making new friendships with locals and having mind blowing adventures! And as planned I arrived to Barcelona on my Birthday the 20th of October.
And in winter of 2016-2017 I crossed the Atlantic ocean by boat with the Nomad Cruise and had an amazing adventure around Caribbean countries.
Here is a shortcut of my big Asia trip from 2014 which will help u to understand me better:)
Still can't believe that it all has ended and that I've survived:D It's been 5 months, 7 countries, 42 cities/towns/villages and 18 islands. Thought I was about to die almost every week trying to go off the beaten track to see the real life in the coutries. Had 3 food poisonings, my phone died 2 times, lost and nowhere to sleep countless times, debit card stolen, lived on 20€ for a week, spent nights sleeping at buses, trains, plains, ferries, jungles, beaches and houses of complete strangers with huge cocroaches walking through ur face at night, 56 mosquito bites on my body after 5 minutes in the forest, stayed alone at a deserted island after the sunset with no vehicle to go back and was rescued by a passing by boat, survived Songkran in Thailand with locals spilling buckets of water in my face while driving a scooter, had to fight monkeys for my underwear, meditated in an empty temple full of bats near Siem Reap, saw the sun rising above Angkor Wat temple, Bromo and Ijen volcanos, went for 150km in a falling apart little car with 11 more cambodians where 3 people were in the front, 5 at the back and 4 in the open trunk, saw people on a half moon party getting so wasted as never seen before, was attacked by a triggerfish, swam and dived with sharks, turtles and mantarays, met a person who spoke to Jesus, attended the wierdest shaman and tribes rituals, had an indonesian wedding, lived in a jungle house with no electricity and water while fasting with durians, made friends with orangutans in Bukit Lawang jungle, was stuck on a wooden boat for 2 days and 2 nights because of the storm, had a 24hrs bus ride instead of 8, surfed Mentawai and Bali, went gun fishing at night and cought a lobster, was attacked by an indo man with machete and a harpoon, had lots of crazy scooter driving, drove into the stairs at night, survived 1 accident, went sandboarding and gave a speach about my trip in a local university in Yogyakarta, ate a lot of crazy stuff like insects, frogs, sometimes not even knowing what that was, bribed and ran from indonesian police, meditated for 9hrs per day for 10 days at vipassana silent retreat in Nepal mountains, took a bath in indian holy Ganga which will hopefully help me with moksha, met lots of amazing people from all over the world and saw so many beautiful things that sometimes made me cry out of nothing, just out of a pure happiness...

PHILOSOPHY

Your beliefs don't make you a better person, your behavior does.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had my first couchsurfing experience in May 2014 in Thailand and absolutely loved it! I believe that spending time with people who actually live in the country is what makes travelling authentic!
That's exactly what I'm looking in my trips, trying to go off the beaten track and fully emerge into the culture of the country.
I've moved to a new big apartment in Barcelona and will try to host people from all over the world as much as I can.
