ABOUT ME

Hello :) As you may guess by my name, I come from a rather diverse background. Ethnically Korean, I was born and raised in Uzbekistan, speaking Russian and embracing the strange mix of these very different cultures. I now live in New York - a home where I belong more than anywhere. I've been fortunate to travel internationally frequently while playing tennis and volunteering abroad. I've learned a great deal from these invaluable experiences and have encountered most interesting people! I also absolutely love playing sports and being out in the nature.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a CouchSurfing novice, but that's about to change as I am venturing out to the West Coast (or as my host assures me "Best Coast") to explore San Fran, Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver! I am really excited about this trip and my first ever CS experience - I am actually still hoping to find a host in SF and Vancouver so if you are available please let me know! :D

Interests

I love meeting new people, having meaningful discussions, discovering new and interesting things, learning about cultures and languages, playing sports - tennis, soccer, American football in particular, riding my bicycle, enjoying the nature, and eating great food. And of course, I love spending time with my family and hanging out with my friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A day hike in the Alps, by myself, bungee jumping off a bridge in Greece, sleeping in a tent in a Siberian forest, swimming in Lake Baikal, and all the wonderful places I've been to

Teach, Learn, Share

Somehow, every time I went across the globe to teach or share, I ended up learning much, much more in return.
