I am Greek and I permanently live in Trikala. I work as an archaeologist, I am married and mother of a 7- year old girl and owner of a big cat. I have traveled just a bit around Europe and once in North Afrika and I have done some of my studies abroad. I have also met foreign people in my country and became friends with them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling and exchanging views with people abroad and with foreign people in your own country makes you think of your positioni in the world and makes you a better human. At the moment I don't plan to travel much. I still like to meet people from other countries and culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

i love classical music, especially Mozart and Bach.
I also like rock music a lot, especially some bands from the 70's.
I like English Literature, from Jane Austen to Ian Mc Ewan. I love reading in general, Greek and international, also read in German and Dutch.
Wim Wenders is one of my favourite filmmakers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling with my brother with the Magic Bus from Greece to the Netherlands and back in summer of 1989. That means 52 hours + 56 hours return trip in 4 different buses, no hotel lodgings. In the Netherlands we stayed in a students' house in the room of a great guy I had met 5 years before. It was one of the best time of our lives! We met great people, made friends for life. No Couchsurfing, no internet back then, no mobile phones, just meeting people in person in trains and holidays and then contacting via postcards, exchanging tapes with songs and rarely speaking on home phone. Also no euro, no credit cards for us, so we ran out of money came back to Greece happy but starving :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I 'd love to show people around in my town. As I am an archaeologist or rather a byzantinist I can guide people in antiquities and monuments and give a lot of advice about what to visit and when, also give some feedback on routes.
