About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel the world, meeting wonderful people, and sharing stories and experiences.

ABOUT ME

I enjoy life. It's taken me a while to get to this point, and key to my getting here was caring for my mother who had cancer last year. It was such a life changing journey for me, and has very much shaped the person I am now. It helped me to see life for what it is, to see a purpose for myself, and that is to share my life with good people in beautiful places, to be honest and real, to see the beauty in every moment.

I can be a bit ridiculous at times - I love a good giggle, to dance and skip, to dress up, and sing silly songs in public.

Music fills my heart, from sweet sounds to beats that make me dance like it's the last song I'll ever hear.

I love adventure, and good conversation, swimming in the sea, and free-styling in lounge rooms.

PHILOSOPHY

To share my life with good people in beautiful places, to be honest and real, to laugh, to see the beauty in every moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to listen to those who need an ear, to look people in the eye and to share a smile. My mother taught me how to be a good friend to people and that is something that I feel that I can share.
I am passionate about the environment, and am keen to share my knowledge about growing and eating delicious and sustaining food, and to learn from others about what they value, and how they feel we can move forward with our culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to couch surfing in an official sense.
I've stayed with friends and people I've met on my travels, and had people stay with me (one who just showed up on my doorstep one day, and now we are such great friends).

Interests

Drawing, writing, cooking (vegetarian/raw are my faves, but I'm not strict when travelling), dancing, singing, adventuring, rock climbing, playing or listening to music, gardening.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once travelled 14 hours by myself to a country where I couldn't speak the language, and ended up sleeping in a bus stop, all to see one of my favourite artists play...that was amazing.

Falling in love is pretty amazing too, and so is watching someone die.

The wildneress in Tasmania just out of Hobart is breathtaking. We once saw a seal on the rocks just 3 meters from us and it stayed around with us for hours while we lay in the rocks in the sun.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my experience of what it's like to be a carer, or what I learnt from this experience. My mum taught me how to maintain good friendships...I don't know if I can teach that but I can try! Good communication and problem solving.

I'd like to learn anything and everything I can, but to make that a bit easier right now I'm really interested in gardening and food preparation skills, and in anything musical.
