About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To boldly go where I have never gone before... even if it's just a new place in an old city ;)

ABOUT ME

Oh, I never know what to say in these things! I guess some pertinent information for the world of couch-surfing; I'm easy going, love to meet new people from all walks of life, and people tell me they like hanging out with me :)

I've just recently decided to embrace my life-long dream of traveling as a central part of my life purpose... I'm currently in the process of selling pretty much everything I own, after which I'll be taking a six week trip to Thailand.

The biggest challenges I've had so far in getting rid of "stuff" are my books and my beads! I love to read, and I love to create, and sadly, these are both items that start to get pretty heavy, pretty quick!

Interests

Reading, writing, traveling (you'd never guess, right?), enjoying life... and pretty much anything creative :D

Music, Movies, and Books

I could never list my favorites, but recent authors would be Christopher Moore (great style, love his dry sarcastic humor), Charles de Lint (modern day fairy tales, somewhat dark, but very good!), David Sedaris (the man makes me laugh out loud).

Music is hard to say; I'm not very good at knowing band names, or names of songs, but I know when I like what I hear ;) Style-wise, I'm into pretty much anything I can dance to.

I don't watch movies very often, but when I do, my tastes are pretty varied (I'm sure you're shocked by this). Comedy, thriller, drama, even certain kids movies, depending on the mood I'm in. Definitely NOT into the "Saw" or "Hostel" style movies... violence is one thing, but gratuitous atrocities shown purely for shock value = not worth my time.
