ABOUT ME

Ive pretty much lived in Fayetteville, AR my whole life and am now attending college there. I have been a boy scout since I was like 6 and have now gained the rank of Eagle Scout. I love nature; rock climbing, hiking, animals, canoeing, wilderness survival, etc... I am currently studying to be a veterinarian but decided that if that fails for some reason I would have no trouble working for an outdoors company or being a professional guide. Whatever I do I want to travel, its very addicting. I like to think of myself as openminded but I know that this can infinately be improved upon and I try to jump at opportunities to broaden my knowledge and life experience. I love meeting new people, especially of different backgrounds or beliefs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only recently discovered couchsurfing but hope to participate as much as I can in the future. I dont have my own place yet, just staying in school facilities so far, so I cant host but hopefully soon ill be able to do that as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just found out about it and am fairly new but I have stayed with one really cool group of guys in Córdoba.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies in general. more so action and comedy. I mostly just listen to the radio and whatever my friends are playing so I get to hear alot of different types of music that I normally would not have found. I dont like a certain kind of music because you could name almost any type or artist and im sure there are at least a few individual songs that I will like. I love reading but dont do it enough. I have a short attention span when it comes to reading so it has to be a really eventful book to keep me interested.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went backpacking with 7 other guys my age from across the nation that I had never met before and we did about 200 miles in 3 weeks. I decided to pick up a big rock (that turned out to weigh 26.2 lbs) and carry it the whole way. I didnt do it to seem macho or anything but because it was so mentally challenging. While hiking up big mountains and being in real pain from such a heavy pack I kept on telling myself "all you have to do is drop the rock and this would be so much easier" but I kept mentally strong and made it the whole way with it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know alot about the outdoors in general and have a very deep appreciation for it. I especially love teaching those who are interested in learning more about this. I would love to learn more about different cultures around the world.
