PHILOSOPHY

I came to this world with nothing
and I leave with nothing but love
Everything else is just borrowed

We seize the day. Helping people gives us a lot of satisfaction. As a couple, we have a lot of happiness to share with people. It'd be nice to improve the world somehow and not to hurt others.

We are vegetarians and we try to live reasonably green. We will not mislike you if you eat meat, but when we cook for you, you will probably not find anything meaty in your bowl.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just say a word, your wish is my command

Our Couchsurfing-selves have been evoluting from a keen observer through modest surfer to generous host and attendee to CS meetings and so on. Darwin said that the evolution would never stop, didn't he? Then let's see what else will evolve.

The purpose of CS _is_ free accommodation, so we're trying not to be too tetchy about reading profiles and including magic words because it makes people look silly. Make sure there is some info about you in your profile (if you do not have many references) — if we can host you, we will accept your request. Relax!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've drank cups of tea, drained cans of beer and toasted with $1 wine, we prepared delicious pierogi and we've been lucky to taste excellent plates from all over the world.

We've slept on floors with so little space that we could hardly move our arms, we've had naps on mattresses and finally dozed sweetly on king-sized beds.

We've laughed cheerfully, we've shared the beauty of the world, we've discussed and argued, we've been given advice and we've been consolers of the lonely.

...but we still haven't found

Too much to list, really. Pink Floyd is Adam's beloved band, but our taste is wide: from The Blind Boys of Alabama through Led Zeppelin to Manu Chao.

We read whatever people recommend, same with movies. Adam's currently impressed by Tarantino movies and Studio Ghibli. Ewa cannot sleep when they're going to air another episode of "Grey's Anatomy".

Adam: PTerry! Also John Cleese and company, although Ewa claims to hate them.

Norway - we don't know a language which could describe properly the beauty of this country. It's breathtaking!

教，学，和分享

Adam is keen on maths and physics, if that's what you want to learn. Ewa is a biochemist and a great cook. If you like looking at the sky at night, Adam can tell you what you can see. We can play Scrabble with you, teach you some Polish, learn other languages. But if you're an expert on some strange bugs living in a land far away a million years ago OR a specialist on different types of asphalt, we'll be glad to listen to whatever you have to say!
