ABOUT ME

I grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas before attending college in VA. I worked for about 2 years outside of Washington D.C. before joining the Peace Corps in August 2009. I lived in the Philippines teaching English at a public high school in the town of Guiuan for 2.5+ years. My contract ended April 4th at which point I spent two and a half months traveling around Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam, a lot of which was spent studying Thai massage in and near Chiang Mai. I am now back in the United States waiting for my next adventure to pursue! I am very laid back and easy going and hanging out with all different kinds of people. I am a huge football (soccer) fan and enjoy most sports and outdoor activities.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to enjoy life every day and that means enjoying the work I do and the place I live. I also want to be learning from others every day and also learning about myself in the process.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly I have hung out and traveled with other couch surfers here in the Philippines. I also attended a CS meetup in Chiang Mai during Songkran in which about 90 surfers showed up!

I lived in the Philippines for 2.5+ years so I could share some insight on the culture there as well good places to visit. I would love to learn about the culture, the people, the food (especially how to cook local recipes), and everything else about the places I am traveling to.
