ABOUT ME

Really difficult to be objective when describing your own self. There is a tendency to overestimate or, which is more rare ;), underestimate oneself. These could be family, friends, colleagues, etc. who could give a true picture ;)
Anyhow, in order not to ignore this field, I might say that I would be happy if people who know me would see me in the way I am trying to be:
Smiling, sincere, understanding, accepting, positive, friendly, communicable.
None of us is an angel, I am no exception eitherâ

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have participated in some local CS meetings in Riga. The more people from CS I get to know, the happier I become by discovering more and more new wonderful people I have not been acquainted with before! :-)

Interests

Studying different life philosophies, especially the Vedic knowledge.
(Trying to discover the Essential Milestones of life, searching for the Genuine Meaning of life, trying to become a better person, trying to always be happy and make others happy).

Foreign languages.

Travelling (especially to the countries that differ considerably from what I am used to and communicating with people from different cultural backgrounds)

Music, Movies, and Books

I do not rate music by a singer or band. The main criteria is that the piece of music is melodious, has deep, meaningful lyrics and the melody makes the soul sing (or at least is special enough to touch the emotional world)
There are lots of wonderful pieces of music in different traditions. But one of my all time favourites is Indian music and African&Orienal drums.

The best movies and books for me are the ones that make you ponder for long, the ones that you can learn from, on the basis of which you can make important conclusions and apply them to your own life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be delighted to teach Russian, Latvian or English on a Language Exchange basis. Am interested in Italian, Greek, Turkish, Hindi, Arabic.

But on a larger scope, I believe that we are both teaching and learning non-stop during the course of our life:
«Life is a big University. And all of us are Students in it. Treat every person and every situation in life as a your Teacher and be grateful to them for their contribution into making us a better, stronger and wiser person (even though sometimes it might not be that obvious;-)»
