Overview
About Me
Hi there! I grew up in Germany, studied abroad in the UK when I was younger, went to uni in Florida, and am now living in Edinburgh.
I like to call myself positive and open minded. I finished my degree in communication studies and have been working in marketing, massage therapy and have started my own personal tour guide business. In this modern online world, I strive to connect with the real things in life; people, food, myself and the world around me.
One thing I value a lot is authenticity and connection: to have the courage of dropping our guards, worries and expectations; to realise that the other is a being just like you, living this experience we call life. No matter who we are, we have stories and lessons to pass on. Btw, If you would like to stay with me, please start your request with #Edinburgh. That way, I get an idea who made the effort to read profiles :) Thanks! x
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to live my life to its fullest. And that means not staying in a hotel but sharing a place with a fellow traveler or allowing a fellow brother or sister to stay with me. There is so much wonder out there and where best to experience it than on Couchsurfing with people who feel the same way? Hosting is like travelling without leaving your home. It’s always wonderful to spend time with new friendly people and enabling them to see Edinburgh.
Interests
I think almost anything is great with the right people: strolling through the city or landscape, having a picnic somewhere, sharing life stories etc. Heck, even sitting on a bench in silence and taking in beauty is great together. I also love outdoor activities like hiking and camping.
One thing I care a lot about is personal development and growth; in physical, mental and spiritual ways. We all have so much potential. And enjoying the present moment while moving toward one’s potential, makes life become magical.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love movies that transport you to an experience, and where there's depth and truth behind the visuals. I also appreciate beauty just for the sake of beauty, and excellence in a craft to be able to marvel at what is developing before my eyes and ears. Think of the soundtrack of Arrival! Or the rhythms and textures of the Avatar movies. But a heartfelt and uplifting movie is also great!
Here are a few of my favourites:
Arrival, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Titanic, About Time, Avatar (Original + The Way of Water), Eurovision the Story of Fire Saga
