Just kicked off a multiyear period of nomading and traveling with a big solo bicycle tour, I'm approaching 1,000 miles and am enjoying it thoroughly! Next year I plan to move to Colombia for a year or more of teaching English, learning Spanish, and bicycling around South America.

Backpacked and WOOFed around the German speaking countries, Denmark, and the Balkans (where I used couch surfing in the early days of the site!). Was a firefighter for the Forest Service for several years stateside, got sent all over and saw all kinds of crazy stuff.
